Once you have your laser engraver and you know what project you want to do, you need to figure out the software you’re going to use. There is a lot of software on the market, and many of them are designed for different needs. If you’re buying an engraver with us, we recommend buying software from us as well. That way we can assure you that everything has been designed to work together.
That said, we offer several different kinds of software. The type of software that’s right for you will vary based on situation. Budget is a factor, but you also need to consider what you’re doing with your laser engraver. If you’re just starting out, it may be wise to get a laser engraver that has less bells and whistles. At the same time, you don’t want to buy a software that’s so basic you can’t get your project done. Below, we’ll let you know a bit about each tier of software. This will help you determine which one is best for you.
EZCAD is our beginner line of laser engraving software. This is perfect if you’re just starting out. The fact that it’s CAD (Computer Assisted Design) makes this great for students and beginning maker spaces.
Laser Studio Lite
This software tier is designed for people who are more comfortable with laser engraving, but don’t necessarily plan to use their machine professionally. It’s good for hobbyists or crafters.
Laser Studio Professional
If you plan to use your laser engraver regularly and commercially, this is the software for you. It allows you to control a 7axis, which gives much greater control over the engraving process.
Laser Studio Professional 3D
3D laser engraving is particularly complicated, which makes this the ultimate software we offer. If you’re getting into deep engraving and want to be able to control the laser from various angles, this is the software you need.
Of course, the above may not properly address your needs. There’s so much you can do with laser engravers that we haven’t even gotten into. If there’s something you want to use your laser engraver for and you can’t find the right software, contact us and we’ll give you a free quote. We’ll program a laser engraving software designed to specifically address your needs.
